What Textle does

Textle receives messages and group events through Linq so it can recognize shared Wordle results, maintain private group leaderboards, answer questions addressed to Textle, link the mobile app, and keep membership current.

Information we process

We process message content, sender and group identifiers, group names, membership changes, display names, game results, and service diagnostics. Phone numbers are normalized and stored as salted, one-way hashes rather than raw phone numbers in player records. Textle does not sell personal information or use it for advertising.

How messages are handled

Ordinary messages that are not Wordle results or Textle requests are ignored by the product. Linq webhook payloads are temporarily retained for reliable processing, deduplication, and failure recovery, then automatically deleted after seven days. Valid game results are retained without the original message body.

AI processing

When a message addresses Textle conversationally, relevant message text and limited league context are sent to OpenAI to produce the response. Deterministic Wordle parsing does not use AI.

Service providers

Textle uses Linq for messaging, OpenAI for conversational responses, Vercel for application hosting, and Neon for PostgreSQL storage. These providers process information only as needed to provide their respective services.

Retention and security

Game results and active league records remain until the associated player deletes their account or the league is removed. Login codes expire after five minutes, app sessions after ninety days, and operational rate-limit records after their windows close. Private leaderboard links are intentionally difficult to discover but should still be treated as private links.

Your choices

You may leave a group, sign out, or permanently delete your Textle account in the mobile app. Deletion removes your player profile, memberships, game results, login sessions, and associated identity hash. You may also request help through the support page.
